WRONGFUL DEATH
If due to the negligent conduct of someone, you suffer the loss of a loved one, you have every right to go after the person responsible for the death. You will have suffered a loss that can’t be replaced. It is not enough for someone causing a death to say to you that accidents happen and that they shouldn’t be responsible. If you suffer the loss of an income provider, that income has to be replaced. If you suffer emotionally due to the loss of companionship, someone has to be responsible for your losses. I will identify your losses that encompass the passing of your loved one due to the negligence of another and fight to recover what is due to you.
MEDICAL MALPRACTICE
Accidents happen all the time in medical facilities or care facilities and you are not responsible. The doctor, nurse, technician or care providers that engage in negligent conduct and cause you to suffer an injury are responsible for their wrongful conduct. When medical providers make a misdiagnosis or fail to provide the treatment that is called for in this community, they are responsible for your injury. You have every right to go after the medical providers responsible. Thus I will fight for your interest when a medical provider makes that mistake that causes you injury.
AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS
Everyday we get into our cars and drive down the road going to the grocery store or to the gym; we never think that today I am going to be in an auto accident. Unfortunately, everyday someone is involved in an auto accident that is not his or her fault. Because someone failed to follow the rules of the road, that person causes an accident and all too often someone is injured. If you are injured due to the negligent driving of someone, you have rights to go after that person for your personal losses and property losses. If you are not able to go back to work and suffer wage losses, I will fight for the recovery of your lost wages. If your new car is damaged and requires extensive repairs, I will fight to recover the diminution in value to your vehicle. Also, if there is pain and suffering due to the personal injuries, I will fight for every bit of value that is due to you.
POLICE/GOVERNMENTAL OFFICIAL HARASSMENT
Police officers and government officials have an obligation to exercise their conduct in accordance with the law. Each person in this country has certain civil rights that cannot be violated. The police cannot take away your free speech rights without due process. The police cannot arrest you without probable cause. Your religious and privacy rights as well cannot be infringed upon without due process of law. When government officials violate your rights, you have the right to take them to court for the violations that have caused you injury. I will fight for you and stand up to police and government officials when they cross the line in attempting or actually taking away the rights that are given to each of us under the state constitution or the United States Constitution.
DISCRIMINATION
When the employer doesn’t want to hire you because of your religion or the color of your skin or the fact that you are a woman, you have the right to take them to court for this violation. When a business does not provide accommodations for the handicap to enter their premises or take advantage of their business, that is discriminatory conduct and you have the right to take that business to court for this violation. If you enter a store and are followed by store security and it is discovered that you were followed simply because of the color of your skin, then you have a claim for discrimination against that store. It is my position that no discrimination should be tolerated including that of sexual orientation. In cases of discrimination, I will fight to make sure all of your rights are protected and that fair compensation comes to you as a result of the discriminatory conduct.
